Online casinos soon to be back for US players?

Well, perhaps.
Things certainly took a step in the right direction recently when the US Dept of Justice (DOJ) ruled that the Wire Act was unlawful when applied to anything other than sports betting.
The Wire Act was used to uphold the UGIEA which was the law which effectively closed online gambling sown in the US. Without it the UGIEA would have been worthless… it now seems like it was.
There are loads of implications for this, lots of companies were fined hefty sums for violating the UGIEA/Wire Act. Many players lost money because of the ruling.
Ultimately though what it means for most of us is that 2012 could be a great year for US casino lovers.
